Automatic Driving Lessons in Milton Keynes and Bletchley

Routine Automatic Driving Lesson's are offered on weekdays between the hours of 8.30am-4.30pm.  Evening and weekend lessons may be offered on an ad-hoc basis but this isn't something that we can currently offer for regular routine lessons.  Evening and weekend lessons of any description incur an additional charge of £10 per session regardless of the duration of the session.

Standard Driving Lesson 90 Minutes

The standard lesson duration with Monarch Driving School is 90 minutes.  Our research clearly identifies that students who take 1-hour lessons spend an average of 35% more on driving lessons than their peers who take 90-120 minute lessons.  Teaching is far more efficient when we have adequate time and we wish to save our customers money by ensuring that we have a realistic amount of time to accomplish our goals in each session.     

All pre-paid lessons/courses must be taken within 12 months of payment. Refunds shall not be provided on expiration of the 12 months.

Automatic Driving Courses

If you wish to learn to drive quickly then you may want to consider taking a driving course. Courses are subject to Chelsea being available however she will try her best to accommodate your requirements.  We do not believe that it is possible to gain enough experience to be safe on the road in just one week of lessons and therefore we do not offer one week driving courses with a test on the Friday - unless the student has had previous experience.

Courses may be taken as intensive (1-2 weeks) or semi-intensive (2-6 weeks).  Success rates may be greater with semi-intensive courses as the student does not feel as much pressure - this is entirely dependent on the student's ability to work under pressure.

For the mutual benefit of the student and the instructor, the student must first complete and introductory lesson with Chelsea prior to booking a course.  This lesson gives both parties the opportunity to see that they work well together and that lessons are focused and productive.  It also provides an opportunity for the student to sample the tuition vehicle and the methods of instruction to ensure satisfaction before committing to a course.

A deposit of £100 is payable to book a course, the balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the commencement of the course. All lessons must be used within 6 months of purchase. The 48 hour cancellation policy applies to all courses.  Course fees do not include the DVSA driving theory test fee (£23) or the DVSA practical driving test fee (£62).

ALREADY GOT A DRIVING TEST BOOKED?......

This is for candidates who already have a driving test booked before coming to Monarch Driving School.

We are happy to help candidates who already have a driving test booked providing we have enough time to ensure that the candidate is fully ready for the test.  Call us for a chat about your circumstances and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Monarch Driving School Milton Keynes have a duty of care to the candidate, the examiner and the general public to only present candidates for test who can demonstrate the required skills to pass the test, we are therefore unable to take candidates for driving tests who are unknown to us or who simply need the use of a vehicle for their test. As we are not a car hire service any requests for car usage for driving tests from learners who are not with Monarch Driving School will be declined.  If you are looking for a car to use for a driving test and do not require the service of a driving school then please contact Arnold Clark Kingston on 01908 280740 for dual control hire options.

Cancellation Policy - 48 Hours

When you book a driving lesson/course with Monarch Driving School you are agreeing to the following policy.

It is important that the driving instructors appointment times are not wasted, it is very frustrating for candidates who want driving lessons but cannot get an appointment with a good driving instructor. We must therefore ensure that the instructor’s time is utilised well and keep cancellations and no-shows to a minimum. We therefore request that students give a minimum of 48 hours notice when cancelling a driving lesson appointment. If 48 hours notice (sufficient time for your instructor to offer the appointment times to other candidates) is not given then the driving instructor has the right to take payment for the lesson. By booking a driving lesson with Monarch Driving School then you are agreeing to this policy and accept that you are responsible for paying for your appointment if you cancel without providing 48 hours notice.
